Hearing
Hearing loss can occur at any age and for a variety of reasons. Hearing loss can interfere with the quality of life, restrict ability to interact with others, causing misunderstandings and fatigue, and filter out the myriad of sound experiences that give pleasure and meaning to life. Hearing loss can be a safety issue.
Most childcare and schools in our community require proof of a hearing test after age four. Tests are quick and painless but can provide a wealth of information on the scope of one’s hearing.
According to a recent AARP study, eighty percent of seniors say hearing health is important to them, yet they rarely seek out help.
