According to the American Heart Association, Close to 80 percent of cardiac arrests occur in the home and are witnessed by family members who often do not know CPR. More than five million people each year receive CPR training from instructors taught by the American Heart Association.
The timely application of CPR has helped save thousands of lives each year in the United States. Better understanding of CPR and refinements in its use can save more lives.
