You Are Here: Health & Support  >  Cancer Cancer There are many local groups that work on behalf of increasing Cancer Research and Education, like the "Sense Core Texas 4000 For Cancer" student group at the University of Texas. In the summer of 2011, 50 UT students will ride bicycles from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska to raise money for cancer research. This ride is a 70 day, 4,600 mile journey and is the world's longest charitable bike ride and twice the distance of the Tour de France.
